Complementary and Complete
Alaska Raw Petfood offers two different product lines: the Pure product line and the Complete product line.
The products in our Pure line are complementary foods, based on raw meat, bones and organs. Each variant provides high-quality nutrients but does not meet daily requirements. Therefore, alternating between different protein sources or adding a vitamin and mineral supplement is necessary for a complete diet.
Tip: Our Alaska Combi-boxes make it easy to vary within the Pure line - for balance and convenience.
The products in our Complete line are ready-to-eat, complete meals. They contain the same raw base as the Pure line, but are supplemented with essential vitamins, minerals and healthy oils and animal-based fibre. Giving your dog or cat a balanced meal every day, without the need for extra additives.
How to store and thaw
Alaska Raw Petfood is fresh, raw and free of preservatives. As a result, the product has a limited shelf life outside the freezer.

For cats
Cats are true carnivores. Our food for cats is perfectly aligned with this: pure meat, without grains or unnecessary additives – exactly what their bodies need.
AssortmentFor dogs
Our range consists of high‑quality, raw frozen food, tailored to the natural needs of your dog. Rich in fresh meat, bone and organ meat, with 15% vegetables.
AssortmentHygiene when feeding raw
Alaska is raw pet food and naturally contains bacteria. Healthy dogs and cats do not get sick from this. People, and especially young children, the elderly or those with reduced resistance, may be at risk from this.
Hygiene tips:
- Always defrost in a sealable container in the fridge
- Keep raw food separate from your own
- Wash food bowls, knives, cutting boards and hands well with warm water and washing-up liquid
- Serve in a cool room, out of the sun
- Avoid flies near the food (they spread bacteria)
Feed Raw Right
On our packaging you will find the “Feed Raw Right” logo. This stands for responsible raw feeding. On the Feed Raw Right website, you will find all information on safe use, storage and hygiene of raw pet food.

• Pure line: complementary raw food. Alternate between different flavors and protein sources for a balanced diet.
• Complete line: fully balanced raw meals with added vitamins, minerals, and salmon oil. No further supplementation needed.
- BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) is a raw feeding method where you compose a balanced menu yourself using muscle meat, bones, organs, and vegetables.
- Minced meat is a ground and mixed version of BARF, usually shaped like a sausage. It’s more convenient to use.
- NRV (Natural Raw Feeding – Dutch: Natuurlijk Rauw Voeren) focuses on feeding whole prey or raw animal parts without adding vegetables or supplements.
Alaska Raw Petfood combines the best of both BARF and KVV:
• Our Pure line resembles KVV: raw food made with meat, bones, and organs (complementary, so without supplements).
• Our Complete line is fully balanced and enriched with vitamins, minerals, salmon oil, and animal fibers – ideal if you prefer not to create a balanced diet yourself.
• For dogs, we include vegetables – in line with BARF guidelines.
• Cats receive pure meat products, tailored to their natural needs (NRV).
Alaska is suitable for both BARF and KVV diets – and also perfect if you want to feed raw without the guesswork.
Raw feeding supports:
- A healthy digestive system
- Naturally clean teeth
- A shiny coat
- A strong immune system
